1. WORK...Yuck, yuck, yuck
We are both working full time so this is what we do the majority of the time, as much as I dislike work we have both been blessed to have good jobs...Scotty is Ranchin' it up this summer and I'm working at Nordstrom. Scotty loves working at the ranch (which totally blows my mind) and all in all I can't complain about my job too much. I get to work in a nice, air conditioned place, sell nice clothes, make pretty good money, and lets not forget my employee discount. BUT, I hate the catty-ness and drama that can come when you get a group of women working on commission and the inconsistent hours with nights and weekends. But again, I can't complain, I've definately had worse jobs and we are able to save a lot of money with both of our jobs.
2. Settlers of Catan
Scotty, Brian, Lyndsay, and I play this game A LOT!! Anytime I don't work too late we try to fit this into our night. It's so nice to have them next door so that we can play all the time. Even though I love this game, I have to say it does not return my love, I have yet to win ONE STUPID GAME!!!! ha ha...it's a love-hate relationship...I swear I have the worst luck possible most games and haven't always made the smartest moves, but I am evaluating my game and hope for a victory soon!
3. Nights at the Ranch
We like to try to stay the night out at the ranch every once in a while because it's so nice and relaxing to stay out there. We just shoot shot guns, sit in the hot tub, and watch the sun go down, which sounds really cheesy and lame but it's seriously so relaxing. But unfortunately we have only been able to do this twice so we are hoping for more to come.
So as you can see our summer hasn't been too exciting yet, but here are some things that we are looking forward to...
1. Boating Trips...if the stupid weather would start warming up faster!!2. Our 1st Wedding Anniversary trip to San Francisco
3. Trip to my house for my brother's mission farewell
4. Lyndsay's Baby Shower
5. More golfing for Scott
6. More nights out at the ranch
7. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince & Transformers 2
8. And of coarse, more nights of playing Settlers
