8 Months

This past month has been so fun to watch Brooklyn learn lots of new tricks.
She went from army crawling to real crawling and she motors around everywhere now! A mobile baby can be much more exhausting.

She also pulls herself up to a standing position on basically anything and everything, including our legs. Whenever I'm doing dishes or cooking, I somehow always end up with a little girl standing up behind me. She has also learned to sit herself back down which has drastically decreased her number of falls. She just barely started to take a couple steps around the furniture.

She loves being in the kitchen with me, and is obsessed with the dishwasher! She unloads all the utensils I load.

Went on some walks in the morning with me...

And did plenty of crying and had some long nights as her two bottom, front teeth broke through her gums and are working their way up. Poor girl.

She started doing this silly, cheesy smile. She usually tilts her head back as she does it, too funny! Sometimes we like to call it her "Chandler smile." (Any Friends lovers will get it).

She got her first cold and had a runny nose. Having a sick baby definitely pulls on lots of Mommy heart strings.

Loves dumping out the trash can under our desk that is full of paper multiple times a day.

Loves the park.

She grew into one of the dresses Grandma Martin made for her.

Other little things...
-Outgrew all her 9 & 9-12 month PJs b/c they became too short.
-Started eating puffs, yogurt bites, and small, cut-up bites of food.
-Has TONS of blow-outs no matter what brand of diapers we use.
-Loves when we hide behind furniture and play peek-a-boo w/ her.
-Enjoyed visits from Whitney, Calvin, Grandpa & Grandma Tracy, Uncle Danny & Aunt Brin.
-She is a busy, busy girl and doesn't like to ever sit still. I have started implementing "quiet time" in the evening when I give her a pacifier and her blankie and she sits on our laps and reads books. She actually has done pretty good with it but it only lasts 10-15 min max.
-Decided that she now HATES getting her diaper changed & getting dressed. She throws a fit every.single.time.
-She is a very curious, strong-willed, happy baby and we are loving this fun stage she is in right now.
